Puerto Galera

We decided to get away for a weekend, so we headed to Batangas right after we got off work Saturday morning. At the boat terminal, we caught a ferry to Puerto Galera.

Ferry Terminal in all its craziness.
On the Ferry to the island. No one vommited, was a successful trip.

Once we disembarked, we took a tricycle to the resort. They fit two people and perhaps a small bag or two. Let's just say we were probably a bit larger than their normal passengers. But we made it work.

Stephanie and Jay's tricycle.
Daniel and I in the tricycle.

We got to visit a waterfall a short drive away from the beach.

It's so green here.

Stephanie was the only one brave enough to climb to the waterfall. Here she's trying out here slippery rock climbing skills.
We also had time to play a bit, and get some great sunset photos.

What else would you do with an underwater camera? These are Daniel's toes.
Rain off in the distance.

Stephanie's dinner.

Daniel's dinner. It bites back?

Our cottages.

View from our porch.

Breakfast the last morning - al fresco.
Daniel battling a coconut he picked. (He won)

Notice the pocket knife, no machete.

Yes, I did win! Kinda worked too,
but, the clump of fiber makes it a bit tricky to drink out of the hole .

On the ferry back to Batangas.
